There It Was

There it was
Where the light sky blue
And the greenish sea blue met

The light sky was just being calm
Decorated with white cotton shaped clouds
That shadowed the warm sun light

The greenish blue was never still
It kept moving, it kept running
But it sounds was only a whisper

The pale cream sand
Sun kissed, being another cool tone
That kept company the two

In an uncertain way, it
Amused my eyes with the colors
Calmed my mind with the whispers,
Overwhelmed my heart with joy

And put a smile on my face

Minimal

Shirt dress.
The classic white one.
With a twist of a ribbon at the end
of the longer cuff, shaping a messy bow.
Black bow on the neck, along with the black hair,
they are framing the black round shades covered nude face.

This Old Town

A jazzy music welcomed us.
As my sister and I get off of our car in front Braga Citywalk Mall.
Creating a lovely vibe.
We took a little stroll along Braga street.
Couldn't bear not to take any picture.
It is not that this is our first time.
But the vibe of an old town always fascinates.

Makes me wonder how it was before, in 1940s.
Vintage cars passing by.
Dutch girls wearing midi skirts.
Boys wearing knee-high socks.
Indonesian girls wearing kebaya.
European styled buildings.
A mix of Bahasa and Dutch writings above every shop door.

And how it is now, in 2016.
Today's cars and motorbikes passing by.
People wearing casual clothes.
Lots of vintage themed restaurants.
Some not vintage themed restaurants.
Remaining European styled details in buildings.
And the rain that starts falling.

Yes, unfortunately rain starts falling not so long after we got there.
Wouldn't let me to take pictures of my surroundings
or even enjoying it a little more.
And so we ran back to the mall.

Being 19

20 August 2016, I turn 19.

19.
A prime number.
Can only be divided by 1 and 19 itself.
It's an odd number and doesn't seem to mean anything.
That's what I thought, until I realize that it's the last year of my teenage life.

Thinking it that way frightens me.
Frightens me by the possible things that I've missed
and the bigger responsibilities that coming.

But as cliche as it is, life goes on.
I can't ever stay in a moment forever.
For everything in this world always changes.
Every certain thing has it own time.
That's what I've always said to myself.

So it's time to let go my fear,
appreciate everything,
and grow up.

Thanks God, for another year of blessings.

Black, White, and Sparkling Sweater

Black, white, sparkling sweater and a pair of platform sandals with socks.

Again, I fell for a full black and white outfit.
It's simple yet pretty.
Minimalist yet bold.

The sparkling sweater.
You may not see the sparkles form a far, but it sparkles as I move.
Catches eyes for a simple outfit.

A pair of platform sandals with socks.
Open-toe shoes don't go with socks?
So last year.

Through Our Eyes

"Wow"
said one of us right after we get in.

"This is crazy."
said almost all of us, multiple times, not simultaneously, in front of the artworks.

"This one looks like a duck," "..and this one looks like a spaceship."
said one of us, trying to figure out the abstract paintings.

"I don't understand it."
said one of us, finally.

Those are the conversations that would be heard, when my friends and I visit ROH Projects in Equity Tower, SCBD.
An art exhibition sure should fascinates people, otherwise it's not really successful.
But as an architecture students we're not just saying that in wow, but we were also terrified because it could be something that we'll be facing in the future, yet we didn't understand it.

However, it didn't terrify us for a long time, for it was art. An ambiguous thing, which should not have to be understood by everyone. But to be understood with one's own perspective. And it could be different with another.

Therefore, we had so much fun guessing what was the artist trying to say from this artwork, and what was it that we got from our perspective.

And finally, got inspired.

Old Treasures Found

As I said on the previous post, I like to go trough my mom old closet.
It's interesting to see how fashion develops from time to time.
Either by the new things that coming, or by the old things that being brought back.
So here it is, one of the treasures that I have found and brought back, my mom's old leather backpack.
Fortunately, it still looks nice and pretty, new yet vintage.
My mom has taken care of it really well.

The book that I'm caring, was not just a props, it is actually my journal.
I write down my to-do-lists and coming up events (usually exams and assignment deadlines) there.
This procrastinator is learning to organize her life, guys!
I found this journal on instagram and they have very cool designs.
I could have made custom order as well, but I didn't really have much time back then to do so.
Anyway, this one is already cute, a 50s Vogue cover, just holding it make me feel chic already XD.
